Novarc Group took part in the jury of the international steel bridge design and construction competition BRICO. BRICO is a unique competition in Nordic countries for engineering students. This year participants came from all over Europe and also from Australia to compete in the construction of a steel bridge model. BRICO 2018 took place on 14 to 18 May in Tallinn University of Technology. In the final stage 7 teams participated from5 countries. The winning team was from the University of Graz (Austria), second from Kaunas University (Lithuania), third from Bialystock University of Technology (Poland). For more see BRICO webpage.
Within the BRICO event, visits were arranged to the participants to sites on construction and architectural interest in Tallinn, focusing on integration of old industrial premises in the urban space and finding new function for them. Novarc Group arranged a tour on the site of T1 Mall of Tallinn and introduced its concept, design and construction as well as the fact there will be the first roof-mounted observation wheel in Europe.
