Common Data Environment (CDE) for Project Delivery
Garage48 and Estonian Digital Construction Cluster have teamed up in order to get the brightest minds together to hack a full weekend and come up with changemaking ideas. We have one very good idea!
Idea
The participants of the construction project have a simple and user-friendly environment for the realization of the project. All project data is available in a common data environment.
Based on permissions, a team member (design manager, designer, partner, client, contractor etc.) can access the data flow: project documentation, models, referred external data bases.
Within the environment the design project manager can issue tasks and check execution thereof.
It also is a communication platform (in text, speech and video) for the exchange of current information between project parties vis-à-vis and in groups.
Target group
Design company
Principles
- Common Data Environment (CDE)
- Integrated technologies and modular system;
- Context based (information links directly to source)
- Mobile (usable in different devices)
Technology
The environment is based on a combination of existing technologies and integration of data flow, thus creating a common data environment (CDE).
Who are we looking for?
We look forward to our team especially IT architects and developers with experience in developing / deploying various applications in MS Sharepoint. Knowledge of construction industry software and the features of compatibility would be useful. We also welcome people who can help to design the product and do the marketing.
The event will take place on 6 to 8 April 2018 in Tallinn University of Technology.
