On May 13 to 17 the international steel bridge competition BRICO took place. It was the second time that Novarc supported the competition.
The goal of the competition is to offer an opportunity for the young engineering students to apply the theory they have studied in practice by designing and building a 5-meter span steel bridge. During the finals the speed of assembly, weight and deflection under 1000 kg load were measured. In addition to technical aspects the architectural and aesthetics of the bridges were assessed. Novarc was represented in the jury by the Chairman of the Board Kaitis Väär.
This year eight teams from three countries took part. The double win went to Poland, the Bialystok University of Technology. Taltech Teams Lovers won the third place.
